My work explores what becomes possible when the need to control one's expression begins to fall away through the process. Through cutting, tearing, gluing, and manipulating materials, I enter a state of presence where intention gives way to surrender, and the mind begins to quiet. Each cut requires attention and precision, yet offers an opportunity to release expectation, respond to what is unfolding, and allow something unexpected to emerge.

The resulting pieces carry both an expression of identity in tension with the intention and presence experienced during their creation. This quality extends beyond the object itself, inviting others to encounter something within themselves that is equally fundamental and difficult to name.
